Glam’s Creamy Matt’ Foundation Review. (under 5k + Great For Dark Skin).
Hey love, You guys are looking at the second product review on my blog, read the first here. This time, Glam’s creamy Matt’ foundation is the muse and here’s why. For most women a good foundation is important; even more so for women of color like me who struggle with oily skin. Not only is finding a good foundation key; but also, one that performs well and matches my skin tone. Affordability and ability of the foundation to keep oil at bay plays an important role in what kind of foundation that makes it into my makeup bag.
I decided to check the Glam”s foundation because I personally have had my fair share of struggle with foundations; from the costly high-end to m-ore affordable drugstore ones – you name it. I’ve been on a bid to find a holy grail foundation and it truly looks like I’ve found the one. Or till I get bored and try something new. For me, wearability, coverage and finish are huge deciding factors when purchasing a foundation. It’s safe to say that this one passed the test. How so?
Glam’s creamy Matt’ foundation.
This foundation comes in a cute black packaging the – right amount of beautiful and cool look (sorry I threw my pack away hence no photo of it). Inside it is a small transparent night face cream like jar containing a velvety formula. The foundation claims...
– Shine control (16 hours wear).
– Velvet finish.
That simple. Not much claims yeah? Well, take a look at the my before and after and tell me what you think.
What I love About Glam’s Creamy Matt’ Foundation.
– Affordability: this foundation set me back four thousand five hundred Naira (#4500), say less than $10. Since the exchange rate in Nigeria is so high and Naira has become so shitty, things have become quite expensive, that the average drugstore foundation now cost about #6500. You can imagine how delighted I was to get this pretty little thing for less than 5000 naira (average affordable sum in Nigeria). I’ve seen it in a couple of stores – its easy to find, guys. I think Jumia stocks it.
– Wearability: when I tell you this product is buildable, easy to apply and blend – believe me.The formula is truly light weight; almost feels like you’re wearing nothing, its consistency is a smooth, soft – creamy texture that settles into a natural looking velvety finish. Perfect standalone product – medium to full coverage, doesn’t oxidize nor settle in crease lines. I wear for over 6 hours or more without a setting powder under the Abuja hot weather before I’ll having to dab away shine. It lasts long too.
– Packaging: as I earlier stated, this foundation comes in a pretty jar, that makes it easy to collect products without making a mess. Also, I absolutely love that it comes with a replaceable seal that keeps the foundation fresh. The glass jar is strong but lightweight – safe to say it has fallen a couple of times without breaking or pouring away content.
Personally, I’m a sucker for lightweight oil-less foundations – Glam’s creamy matt’ foundation checks these boxes. I have a reddish – brown undertone, I find that this formula which I use in the shade ‘Coffee bean -254’ matches my skin tone so well, it leave a natural looking finish ( if you haven’t noticed I like a foundation with solid coverage that still gives a barely there feel and look). The Glam’s makeup brand is owned by an Italian company, it comes in 8 different shades ranging from bright beige for lighter skin tone to deep brown tones for dark skin – works great on women of color. For those of you with oily or sensitive skin type like me; no worries. I didn’t experience any breakout or reaction.
Would I recommend this product? Yes. This product gets 4 stars out of 5 in my opinion. No, this is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my honest and true experience using this product. I’m sharing because I love my readers, I want you to have a solid foundation in your makeup bag.
