#whatiwore #bennymakachi blog #how to style pleats, how to wear colorful outfits

Hey loves,

It’s Sunday again! Time for some fashion and pleated styling.

We are closer to Monday. Another week to be grateful for wellness, to live the simple life and a much more meaningful one. πŸ’•

Pleated skirt has been a fashion staple for a long time now. It’s no news that it’s back in, with other trends like bell sleeves and embroidery. Although, with a few twist and turns on how it looks and how it’s rocked these days. One thing is sure. It Bangs!!

How to style pleat skirts, Nigerian style bloggers

(Peng. As twitter streets would say. Lol!)

I’ve had this skirt for a long while now and I still can remember why I snagged it in the first place.

The color: if you didn’t know I love this shade of green (leaf green) it is absolutely flattering on my skin tone. So, it’s an absolute Yes, Yes! For me. Be it shoes, purse, earrings. I will love it in this shade of green.

The size of the pleats: I know, I know the trendy pleats now, are the metallic large sized ones but, I don’t care, don’t care, don’t care. I love this one 😜.

The slit: I particularly love that I can tilt the slit to whatever direction I want. I’m talking back, front, side… you name it.

Now you know why this skirt has a place in my closet. I decided to go the colorful route when styling this. It just gave me retro fever and I couldn’t help but be smitten with every print and colors I threw on.

Now, I agree that there’s something about my natural hair that makes me sassy πŸ’πŸ½! (I need an Afro emoji already 😫). I styled my hair in a semi pineapple and added these cute earrings. The shades and top added the right amount of bad and boujee. To round it up I threw in these cute sneakers that doubles as my workout shoes. Talk about functional.

I can think of more than five ways to style this skirt. Whether it be with a cami and blazer or crisp white shirt with a funky flat or with a cardigan and tall heels. Truth is that you’ll slay either ways. You also wanna keep up with my blog as I’ll definitely be styling this skirt in the nearest future.

Oh, if you missed my post on how I got rid of my acne. Here!

Wishing you my lovely reader an awesome week ahead. Be kind to yourself and others. 🌸

Love, Bennymakachi!

You know, I have never really thought about the color green until this post. I just always feel that leaf green is too err, green. I guess I never thought about styling it with brights. Great post!
