YELLOW MELLOW.

Hi, Mi darlings!

Happy weekend to you all.

I trust you’re reading this in great spirits. Thanks for the feedback from my last post. And if you’re checking out my blog for the first time. You should get to know me better here. Xo!

May I begin by stating the obvious on how vibrant this skirt of mine is? So, much so that it lights up my mood when I wear it. Yea, most times I dress according to my mood.

I can’t be the only one that feels like ‘badass’ boss chic when dressed edgy or powerful as Queen Sheba when dresses in feminine duds, now, I’m I??

You know,  there was a time when this then recent tomboy convert (Me) dreaded wearing colors. No joke! I would literally freeze at the thought of wearing colorful anything (accessories, lipstick, clothes).

*Look at me now. In Chris brown’s voice* Lol! Wearing colors and colored lipstick like I’m paid to.

Moral of the story. Live your life fearlessly and fiercely, too!

I paired this yellow A line skirt with a kimono. You heard right! I wrapped and tucked in the kimono to give it a blousy appeal. I chose the kimono because of the gorgeous prints on it and how it blends seamlessly with the skirt. Do you like?

When I’ve got a lot going on color and lipstick wise. I tend to go bare or minimal with my accessories. As you can see. I went with a black strappy heels, round drop earrings, a tiny purse and super cute cateye shades. If you follow me on Instagram. You’ll know I’m obsessed with this shades right now. Pls follow me! ?

All items minus my shoes and earrings were thrifted from Yaba market when I visited Lagos some weeks back. Stop sleeping on thrift. Do you hear me? ✌?

How would you style a skirt like this? Let’s share style tips. ?

Love, Bennymakachi!

There was a time in my life where I was addicted to kimono tops and yellow clothing! And you’re right, it just brightens up the mood 🙂

Loving that print, too!!! Perfect for spring!

To think I had a major beef with yellow! This look is amazing, especially the kimono as blouse.

I love the simple cut of the skirt. and i love the kimono. not so fond of floral prints though, or any prints for that matter. i’m more into dark, solid colors with a few lighter ones every now and then.

I second that. The cut is really pretty. I’m trying to experiment with solid colors. I could learn a thing or two from you!

I would probably go with a spaghetti strap top with this skirt and some bold necklace. Flats would be nice too. But to be honest, I love your look as well! That floral top makes it extra perfect for the season.
